LIBBY IN SILK AND LACE
I just had to share these gorgeous photos by Dale Nabeta of Piximage Photography. Combined with the makeup talents of Necia Whitmore and hairstyling by Kao Vey the EVA dress turned out just so stunning on Libby. The fabric is dupioni silk mixed with a silk gauze sash and tulle and lace underskirt. Kao added an ivory floral to her hair done up Hollywood glam style.

VIOLET
How's this for a reall blast of spring? Thanks to Tuyet Nguyen over at SMP Style Circle we have some lovely violet inspirations today. Hydrangeas are my favorite flowers for bouquets and centerpieces. I'm remembering the violet colored chiffon dress I once had like the Maria Lucia Hohan one above . . . just gorgeous . . .

SPRING HEAD CHIC
I've had so many points of inspiration this spring. Here's what the muse brought to the line of 2011 head chic. Paris and the expression, Oh la la! has been on my visual radar lately and what better example than this poufed tulle picture hat scattered in hand rolled rosettes.

You'll find a lot of these hand beaded snoods in 1940s flicks but almost nowhere out there on the market now which is exactly why I designed it. Great for Deco looks, this gem for keeping hair neat is going up on Etsy soon.
Inspired by Paris of course is one of my tulle poufs accented with a white rose and a Chanel bow wrapped in net.

UP AND COMING: The Bridal Blouse
This summer we're planning a whole editorial for Bride Chic just on The Bridal Blouse. . A little background here on how all this evolved. When I first started out as a designer my specialty was very intricate and lacy white blouses reminiscent of Laura Ashley's early work. Because I'd worked as a bridal buyer I had access and discounts to some of the most beautiful silks and laces in the world. Like a kid in a candy store, daily I was next to Alencon, Chantilly, Schiffli and Valenciennes to name just a few. I paired up these frothy creations with black velvet and taffeta skirts, making them perfect for evening and gala events. White lace blouse equals bride; brides of course found me out and that's one of the reasons I'm here chatting with you about the advantages of wearing separates on your wedding day. Wear the blouse on your wedding day and pair it up with that black velvet pencil skirt on New Years. This is one of the best ways to go green. A long white tulle or lace skirt can be reworn with a jacket, corset, bustier, sweater . . . oh yes, I could go on and on here detailing the afterlife of your wedding ensemble . . .
